At Gohomme, many of our lighting products are designed for decorative and functional use in residential and commercial spaces. Because lighting fixtures may include electrical components, fragile materials, heavy parts, adjustable hanging systems, and ceiling-mounted hardware, proper installation is very important.

Please read this information carefully before installing any lighting product.

Professional Installation Recommended

We strongly recommend that all lighting fixtures be installed by a licensed electrician or qualified professional.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the product is installed safely and correctly according to local electrical codes, building requirements, and installation conditions.

Gohomme is not responsible for damage, malfunction, injury, installation failure, electrical issues, or additional costs caused by improper installation, incorrect wiring, incorrect voltage, unsuitable mounting conditions, modification, or failure to follow applicable electrical and safety requirements.

Check Before Installation

Before installing your lighting fixture, please carefully check:

  • Product model and size
  • Fixture color, finish, and material
  • Voltage compatibility
  • Quantity of parts and accessories
  • Glass, crystal, metal, acrylic, or other fragile components
  • Hanging length, chain, cord, or rod length
  • Ceiling height and installation location
  • Ceiling box, mounting surface, and structural support
  • Any visible damage or missing parts

If you notice any damage, missing parts, or product issue, please contact us before installation.

Do not install the product if you believe it is damaged, incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for your space.

Voltage and Electrical Compatibility

Customers are responsible for checking voltage and electrical compatibility before installation.

Lighting products may have different voltage requirements depending on the model and destination. Please review the product page, product label, and order details before installation.

Incorrect voltage, incompatible electrical systems, improper wiring, or unauthorized electrical modification may cause damage, malfunction, safety hazards, or product failure.

Gohomme is not responsible for issues caused by incorrect voltage, incompatible electrical systems, improper wiring, or unauthorized modifications.

Ceiling and Mounting Requirements

Some chandeliers, pendant lights, and ceiling fixtures may be heavy or require special mounting support.

Before installation, please make sure that:

  • The ceiling structure can safely support the fixture
  • The electrical box is suitable for the fixture weight
  • The mounting surface is stable and secure
  • The hanging height is appropriate for the room
  • The fixture will not block doors, cabinets, walkways, or sight lines
  • The fixture is suitable for the intended indoor or outdoor location

For heavy, oversized, or multi-piece fixtures, additional support or professional assessment may be required.

Installation Height and Clearance

Before installation, please confirm the desired hanging height and clearance.

For dining tables, kitchen islands, foyers, staircases, hallways, and open areas, make sure the fixture is installed at a safe and comfortable height.

The final installation height may depend on ceiling height, furniture layout, fixture size, chain or rod length, and personal preference.

Inspect the Product Before Installation

Please inspect your lighting product before installation.

Once a product has been installed, it may be more difficult to verify whether an issue occurred during shipping, handling, installation, or use.

If the product is installed despite visible damage, missing parts, incorrect specifications, or obvious defects, the issue may not qualify as a shipping damage claim or product issue claim.

Please keep all packaging materials until the product has been fully inspected and the issue, if any, has been resolved.

Damage During Installation

Gohomme is not responsible for damage caused during installation, removal, adjustment, or reinstallation.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Broken glass or crystal during installation
  • Scratched or damaged finish during handling
  • Bent or damaged parts caused by improper assembly
  • Electrical damage caused by incorrect wiring
  • Damage caused by dropping the fixture or parts
  • Damage caused by unsuitable tools or mounting methods
  • Damage caused by modifying the product

Please handle all lighting components carefully and hire a qualified professional when needed.

Labor and Installation Costs

Gohomme is not responsible for labor costs, electrician fees, installation fees, removal fees, reinstallation fees, construction delays, project delays, or other indirect costs related to installation, product issues, shipping delays, replacement parts, or returns.

Any costs related to hiring installers, electricians, contractors, or other professionals are the customer’s responsibility.

Custom-Made or Special-Order Lighting

Some lighting fixtures may be custom-made, made to order, or specially prepared based on customer selections such as size, finish, color temperature, hanging length, voltage, or other specifications.

Customers are responsible for checking all product details, measurements, and installation requirements before placing an order.

Custom-made or special-order products may not be eligible for return or refund due to incorrect measurements, unsuitable installation location, customer preference changes, or misunderstanding of product specifications.

Outdoor and Wet Location Use

Unless a product page clearly states that the fixture is suitable for outdoor, damp, or wet locations, the product should be used indoors only.

Do not install indoor-rated lighting in bathrooms, outdoor areas, humid spaces, wet locations, or areas exposed to moisture, water, extreme heat, or extreme cold.

Gohomme is not responsible for damage caused by unsuitable installation environments.
